Good evening, my name is Joel Landy and you are watching Songs of Freedom. Tell me, do you believe peace is possible? Think carefully about the answer to this question because your answer means everything. Do you really think peace in the world is possible? If you think…if you honestly feel… that the answer is no, you won’t have any. Until you believe peace is possible you won’t have any. You can’t. We manifest peace as we manifest our future … or we don’t. If you don’t think peace in the world is possible and you are waiting for it to happen, without you, forget it. You are doomed. Peace can’t happen without you. You have to believe it can happen first. And not only are you doomed. I am doomed too. There is no separation in the world between you and me when it comes to peace. When you are in pain, I will feel it. When I am suffering, you suffer too, eventually. During the Christmas season when you say “Peace On Earth”, do you mean it? Do you believe peace is possible? If you don’t, why do you say it? And why would you say “Peace ON Earth?” A Native American friend told me Europeans say “Peace on Earth”, while a Lakota would say “Peace with Earth”. Can you feel the difference? “Peace on Earth” is over there. “Peace with Earth” is over here. There is intimacy. There is responsibility. There is no separation with Earth and life, and peace is not about separation. Peace is about intimacy, even when it is uncomfortable. Especially when it is uncomfortable. I feel the same way about peace in the world as I do about healing in the world. If you don’t believe healing is possible, you cannot have any. Everyone sometime during their lives has experienced healing. You have. And healing never really happened in your life until you believed that it could. Peace is the same way.
